Fixing the VW Camper Van Engine Part 1 - Taking it out
This is the first time I’d ever taken the engine out of my Bus (or anything else for that matter) so thought I’d video the whole shebang and share it, uncut in glorious 1000 times speed! All it took was three blokes, 16 hours of work/head scratching/swearing and many (MANY) mugs of tea.
The reason for taking the engine out: one of the vavle guides (the inlet on no.1 cylinder if your interested) had disintegrated, so replacing the heads was called for. Rather than have someone else do it I thought I’d give it a go…

It’s a tricky one …
It’s a tricky one for sure. Selling a Beetle is one thing, but to sell a Beetle once owned by a marauding troupe of lesbian strippers is quite another. It’ll be a shame to see it go, but if the time has come then so be it… Time to start saving for a Camper!

Sigh. This mae me …
Sigh. This mae me sigh? Why did I sigh? Because I’ve just sold my Beetle. Almost… Wait, there’s still time to end it now! Will I? Can I? I could just end the listing and pretend it blew up or something. Should I? You have only 4 hours and 23 minutes to respond or it will be too late.
